Hermione, naturally acts like she just ran 10 miles in every scene. She just huffs and puffs all over the place and her eyebrows are going a million miles per hour.
Rupert acts perfectly as usual with all the suttle nuances that make you a good actor.
After acting pretty well in #3, and then taking a step back in #4, Dan did a pretty good job.
Snape was a great actor as usual.
Luna......she just didnt do it for me. SHe was too "breathy". Wispy even. I didnt imagine her that way in the books. I could tell she was acting.
Even Trewlany, who was unbelievable in #3, was just not good in #5.
Even Mr. Weasley, who was always great, just didnt get it done in #5.
The Dursleys were awful in this film. They were great in 1,2,3.
Anyways, most of this badacting happens before Dumbledores Army is formed. Everything during and after Dumbledores Army, absolutely kicked ass. It was like 2 different films. When i buy this DVD, i will fastforward to the DA, and then watch from there.
The highlights:
Walking into the Ministry for the first time. It was just like the first time you saw Diagon Alley. It was amazing.
Dumbledores Army: AWESOME.
And finally, the battle at the ministry. I don't know how to do it justice. It was everything that I hoped it would be. Crazy ass wand fighting.
The music playing, but having hte dialogue quiet after Sirius dying was awesome. That was a great touch. You could really see/feel hte pain harry felt. I loved how he got rid of Voldemort from posessing him. PERFECT.
Man, at the end, i was just stunned. If all of number 5 had been made like the last half, it would have easily been the best movie in the franchise.
It got away from canon here and there, but it was ok. It wasn't huge changes like in GOF. It was just a little here and there.
7.5/10 overall. the last hour and 15 minutes was a 10 though.
